Pathways Into Health is now accepting Photo Exhibit submissions for the 3rd Annual Conference:
Achieving Excellence, Harmony, and Balance:
Transforming health professions education in American Indian and Alaska Native communities
Photo submission deadline: August 15th
Pathways Into Health is a grassroots collaboration of more than 200 individuals and organizations dedicated to improving the health, health care and health care education of American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/AN). We are combining the expertise, resources, and strength of Tribes and AI/AN organizations, tribal colleges, prominent universities, the Indian Health Service and American Indian and Alaska Native communities as we work together to solve a major problem that exists today: the shortage of AI/AN healthcare professionals.
The purpose of this conference is to bring us together along with a diverse group of others interested in Pathways, including academics/educators, health care providers, health administrators, public health officials, policy-makers, Elders and students to contribute to the development of appropriate and effective educational methodologies for primarily distance based AI/AN health professions education.
As part of this event, we will have a photo exhibition of images that capture American Indian /Alaska Native culture and landscape.
Photos will be mounted and exhibited during the conference.
Photo submitters need not attend the conference in order to submit a photograph. Submissions from all are welcome and encouraged.
SUBMISSION:
August 15, 2008 - submission deadline
Include the following information:
- Name of photographer
- Organization, Institutional and/or Tribal Affiliation (optional)
- Address
- Phone
- Fax
- E-mail
- Title of photo (if any)
- Location and description of content of photo – essays to accompany photos are also welcome but not required
Submit photo either via postal mail or e-mail.
Printed photos to be submitted via mail should be 8”x10” or larger (however smaller submissions will also be accepted)
